My wife just bought me an almost minty IIIf red dial. I also have a FED-1 which still works OK. Currently I use Jupiter-3, J-12, J-9, J11, Industar-61LD lenses which are all carried forward from my 1957 Zorki-4, my first rangefinder. Would also love a Voigtlander Heliar 15mm one day. Would love to be able to afford a Summarit (f1.5) or a Summitar. Works like a dream silk smooth operation - well worth the money. Introduced in 1935, its a III with a higher top speed of 1/1000. III's can be found in both chrome and black. It's practically the same camera as the II otherwise. I had the (original) Summar lens CLA'd by Malcolm Taylor last summer. This is a Leica II with slow speeds down to 1 second added.

It had had 5 rolls run through it since new! and it shows. My IIIa is from 1937 - I bought it from a German collector who lived just outside Wetzlar. IIIa from 1935, and another IIIc, from 1950, upgraded to IIIf specs Looking for a IIIa, and a I or Standard, possibly with a Summar or a Hektor 5cm f/2.5 Wow Rob, thats a beauty! I have to dig mine back out. It is still in pristine condition and works great! My grandfather was the original owner of it and it was handed down to me after he passed away. 1/2 way through my first roll and everything appears to be working flawlessly. Mine's from 1934, and the Elmar 3.5 is from 1939. I picked up a Leica III for $5 at an estate sale the other day. Only just got it tonight, haven't put a film through it yet. Mine is from 1935, before either of my parents was born. This is a fabulous list developed by Stephen Gandy.
